SHORT TERM LOW COST THERAPY

You have most likely come here as you are looking for a more financially viable way to access therapy. Welcome, I am a trans and non-binary trainee therapist aiming to help some people access therapy whom may not be able to afford the regular prices of therapy.

I am offering a couple of slots a week for short term low cost work. These are available to people  who are trans, non-binary or questioning their gender. I think there can be huge value in seeing a counsellor who has some shared experiences and identities but you do not need to be coming to therapy to talk about anything gender related.

Sessions will take place in person on a weekly basis (same time and day each week) in my practice room in Islington. I am offering 12 sessions at £15 a session, to be paid weekly by bank transfer. I have previous experience working with clients in short term work and have found that clients can get a lot out of it.

If you want to know more me and how I work then I encourage you to take a look at the rest of this website.

Summary of the Details:

  • 12 weekly sessions (same day and time each week)

  • £15 each (paid by weekly bank transfer)

  • At 150 Caledonian Road, London, NW1 9RD

  • Email: LJcounselling@protonmail.com

If you are interested you can email me or use the ‘Contact Me’ page. If you feel happy to a brief summary of what brings you to therapy could be useful, but if not we can wait to talk about this later. It would be also helpful to let me know what time(s)/day(s) you are available too. Please bear in mind that all session will be in person at the address, above.

I will let you know if I have availability at the times you can make. If I do then I we can arrange a free 30 minute introductory chat. This is a chance for you to get a feel what it might be to work with me and to ask any questions you may have.

Accessibility: Where I work from has a few shallow steps to the front door. We can meet on the ground floor if needed but some rooms are up a narrow staircase. So please let me know if you would need to work on the ground floor. The toilet is also on the ground floor but is not a disabled toilet. If you have other accessibility needs please let me know and I will try to accommodate.

I am aware that working in person is not accessible for everyone so some people who could benefit from this will not be able to. If this is you, you are more than welcome to send me email me and we can try work something out. For example, I have some long term slots available at a reduced rate, although I am not able to go long term/ongoing work as low at £15 a session.

There are certain requirements and hours that I need to meet as a trainee in order to qualify that limit my flexibility and accessibility currently. When I am qualified I hope to be able to address these and change my practice to make it more accessible.
